Comharthaí ón Tuaisceart

Weekly Tuesday 21:00 BST. Repeats on Wednesday 00:00 BST, Saturday 00:00 BST & Sunday 21:00 BST.

This week’s Signals from the North comes courtesy of our ‘Irish correspondant’ – Jonny Dillon.

Jonny is based in County Wicklow, just south of Dublin. He is an extremely talented producer who often works under the pseudonym Automatic Tasty and has released many fine productions through the Irish record label Lunar Disko.

The show he has put together is a challenging and interesting mix of reportage from around Co. Wicklow; collage, folk music, folklore and spoken word. It is a moving, serious but equally amusing and irreverent portrait of a particular landscape and culture.

The show includes some his own productions as well as music from Kraftwerk, Woody Guthrie, Crass and little known tracks from the Crass label.

Along with previous Signals from the North this show will be archived through the Signals from the North mixcloud.

Signals is a Newcastle based record label and you can follow their activites through facebook, twitter and check on their releases through soundcloud and their shop.

Jonny has kindly provided a tracklist and exhaustive links to material within the show.
